Inverness primary school asks pupils if they are transgender or gay

Pupils at Merkinch Primary in Inverness are reported to have been asked about their gender identity and sexual orientation.

As well as asking children how they identify the Mail Online says a pupil survey also asked youngsters if they have ever laughed at or been unkind to someone because they are gay or transgender.

The undated questionnaire has been posted online and has attracted criticism over its content
