Inverness man admits resisting arrest when approached by quartet of police officers

Four police officers were involved in a violent struggle with a 32-year-old Inverness man they were trying to arrest in the Kinmylies area of Inverness.

Nathan Hunter, of Union Street, then repeatedly shouted abusive remarks and threats of violence towards the constables in Mile End Place and in Burnett Road Police Station on June 30, 2024.

Hunter appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted threatening or abusive behaviour and resisting arrest.

Sentence was deferred by Sheriff Gary Aitken, who declined to hear the full facts and they will be presented at Hunter's next appearance on March 13 after a background report has been prepared.
