In 2025, Bridge to Bridge Highland Cycle will be raising money for The Leanne Fund, DAY1 Training and Mentoring, Highland Action for Little Ones - Halo and This is Me Highland.

Isle of Lewis-based charity The Leanne Fund raises funds to enable all those affected by Cystic Fibrosis to lead a fuller life and for their families to cope better as carers.

They provide their services free of charge at all times of need, such as when welcoming a new baby, navigating school years, moving into a first home, or just when a helping hand is needed.

DAY1 Training and Mentoring, based in the Highlands, is described as “a lifeline” charity, that helps young people to cope with the pressures of modern life.

Working closely with parents, funders, local businesses, partnership schools and agencies, the charity organises a wide range of new experiences and opportunities for children and young people to help build their confidence, independence and self-worth.

Highland Action for Little Ones - Halo supports children and families in need across the Highlands by providing essential items that every child needs to thrive. From nappies, formula milk, clothing, and baby equipment, they support children aged 0-18 years.

Their mission is to make sure every child has access to the basics they need to feel safe, warm, and cared for.

This Is Me Highland is a charity that arranges events and plans activities for families with children and young people with neurological conditions such as autism spectrum disorder or ADHD, enabling them to enjoy experiences that they may otherwise find it difficult to attend.

The charity currently helps over 400 families across the north.

The Bridge to Bridge Highland Cycle was set up by Ark Estates owner, William Gray, and a group of friends from Culbokie, and it has grown in both scale and community support each year.

Speaking of the launch of this year’s event, Mr Gray said: “We are so excited to launch Bridge to Bridge 2025.

“This will be our fourth year - and we are delighted to be supporting some fantastic local charities who are all doing incredible work locally.

“Thanks to the generosity of our event sponsors, 100 per cent of the money raised each year goes directly to our chosen charities, ensuring maximum impact for their vital work in the Highland area.

“Each year, we receive an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from participants, largely due to our dedicated volunteers who go above and beyond to support our cyclists throughout the day.

“We can't wait to come together again this September for another unforgettable event."
