Retailers up for national accolades
SEVERAL Inverness firms are among the finalists of the Scottish Independent Retail Awards.
Public votes have helped select the shortlist with winners announced on April 25 in Glasgow.
Awards highlight the value of independent retailers and reward entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen.
Those in the running include: Fishmonger of the year – Duncan Fraser (Queensgate); Fresh produce provider – The Cheese House (Cromarty); Florist – The Flower Company (Church Street); Hair and beauty salon – Roots Saloon (Greig Street); Butcher – Hastie and Dyce (Victorian Market), A&I Quality Butchers (Keppoch Road), Duncan Fraser & Son (Queensgate); Off licence – Tomlinsons Beer Shop (Castle Street); Coffee Shop – SO COCO (High Street), White Cottage Tea Rooms (North Kessock), The Rendezvous Cafe (Church Street); Sports retailer – Craigdon Mountain Sports (Academy Street); Fashion/Accessories retailer – Maggie & Suzi Boutique (Drummond Street); Bespoke retailer – Old School (Beauly).
