REVISED plans have been submitted for a 170-bed hotel overlooking the River Ness.

The changes have been made by Dutch company Vastint Hospitality to reduce the visual impact on the landscape of Inverness.

It is hoped the four-star Moxy Hotel could be built at the site in Glebe Street, which was formerly a swimming pool, if planning permission is granted by Highland Council.

The height of the building has been reduced by one-storey and a separate three-floor block has been introduced as part of the revised application.

The original application was submitted in March 2018 but the proposal was rejected by councillors who objected to the original design.
