A busy Inverness city centre road was closed during rush hour after a crash on Tuesday.

Police closed off access to Bank Street at its junction with Bridge Street for a short time following the collision outside the Mercure Hotel car park on Bank Street.

It is understood at least two cars were involved in the collision. The road subsequently reopened with police remaining on scene to direct traffic, which was moving slowly past the site.
