Inverness accident near Culloden Academy secondary school involving Stagecoach North Scotland bus prompts internal investigation

Stagecoach is launching an internal investigation after an accident today involving a school bus near Culloden Academy.

The incident involved service 112 from Culloden Academy to Sunnyside, but no passengers were on board at the time.

The bus company had to dispatch a replacement bus and notify the school about a 15-minute delay in the service for pupils following the accident.

No further details of what happened in the incident have been disclosed.

A spokeswoman for Stagecoach North Scotland said: "We can confirm that one of our vehicles was involved in a road traffic incident this morning in the Inverness area.

“There were no customers on board at the time, and no injuries have been reported.

“We are carrying out a full investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“The safety of our staff, customers, and the public is our top priority."
