Inverness shop unit at Victorian Market attracts ‘several enquiries’

A unit vacated by a much-loved chocolate shop in the Victorian Market is not expected to be empty for long.

Story Chocolates in the Victorian Market was run by husband and wife team Ingrid and Lucas Story, since 2002, but they closed after Mr Story was the victim of a brutal attack.

Market general manager Cameron Macfarlane said: “Lucas Story was viciously attacked last year and after several operations, he has taken the very sad decision to retire due to the effects of the injuries he received.

“We are currently getting the unit painted etc and it will go on the market. I don’t think it will be on for long as I have had several enquiries about it already.”

Mr Macfarlane added the unit used by Ginger for 16 years will not become vacant, stating: “Ginger won’t be on the market as the unit was shared with her [Esther Nelson’s] father who has a business in the same unit called Sweets For My Sweet.”
