Sheriff David Harvie then decided to call for a background report to see if she is suitable for a drug treatment and testing order or a community payback order with a condition of drug treatment.
Potts admitted stealing £30 worth of candles from Boots at Eastgate Shopping Centre on October 10, 2024 which were not recovered, and £70 worth from the nearby Marks and Spencer on the same day. The goods were recovered in this instance.
She was released on bail to appear again on November 7, with conditions to stay away from the shopping centre and Marks and Spencer store.
