Highlands and Moray set to face icy conditions as yellow weather warning is issued by the Met Office

A yellow weather warning for ice affecting the Highlands and Moray tonight and tomorrow has been issued by the Met Office.

According to their forecast, showers on Wednesday night will lead to a risk of icy patches in the area, with the warning set to be in place from tonight (Wednesday, January 29) at 10pm until 10am on Thursday.

On its website, the Met Office reports that showers will be wintry over lower levels across northern Scotland, with a slight covering of snow possible in places - mainly above 200 metres, which could lead to some travel disruption.
