Specsavers Inverness organised a raffle in its store to raise money for Highland Hospice.

For every £1 ticket purchased during December, customers were entered into a prize draw to win a hamper of chocolates, biscuits and sweet treats.

The raffle, which raised £72, was won by a Mrs McCubbin.

Andrew Carr, store director of Specsavers in Inverness, said: “We’ve always been proud to support Highland Hospice and usually hold an annual fundraiser for the charity every year.

“We’d like to thank everyone who purchased a ticket for our raffle which enabled us to make a donation to such a worthy local cause.”

Specsavers stores are still open during lockdown.

Under Scottish Government guidance, people may leave home to obtain medical assistance, including eye and hearing tests, which are considered essential healthcare services.

Customers unable to leave home unaccompanied can request a home visit.
