Inverness man deliberately ‘put the life’ of his mother ‘in danger’ say Police Scotland

Police have warned the actions of a son who was found guilty of attempting to murder his wheelchair-bound mother will not be tolerated.
After a five-day trial at the High Court in Inverness, a jury convicted Bruce Davis (53) of attempting to murder his 78-year-old mother Thomasina McAskill on New Year’s Day 2023.

Detective Constable Claire MacLean said: “This was a deliberate act which put the life of the woman in danger.
“Such acts of violence will not be tolerated, and Police Scotland remains committed to pursuing those responsible of such crimes and bringing them to justice.”
