The most deprived area of Inverness is looking like one of the strongholds of the Yes campaign, according to Radical Inverness.
A South Kessock doorstep tally by the grass-roots group found that more than 50 per cent of householders were voting yes and 20 per cent were ticking the no box in next month’s ballot, canvassers have claimed.
"That’s from a sample of 80 doors knocked and when the "undecideds" are removed that gives a total of 72 per cent yes. From our point of view that’s not bad obviously," he said.
Spokesman Craig Wilson said: "Radical Independence spin doctors will be getting sacked after this as usually when they make up these stories the result is above 90%."
