High Life Highland is welcoming Alli Vaas, Andrew Button, David Ellis, and Valerie Graham to its team.
Alli, PowerHouse Manager with Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport, joins the High Life Highland Charity Board, while Andrew, David, and Valerie join the High Life Highland Trading Board. All four attended their first board meetings on Wednesday, March 19.
Inverness resident Alli brings extensive senior leadership experience to the High Life Highland Charity Board, along with a proven track record in business improvement, including people, culture, process, and compliance.
The High Life Highland Charity Board’s directors are responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the organization.
The board consists of four elected members from The Highland Council and eight independent directors, bringing diverse public, private, and development agency backgrounds that complement the scope of High Life Highland’s work.
David Ellis, also from Inverness, joins the Trading Board, offering extensive knowledge of the public and leisure sectors and experience in creating a Leisure Trust.
Golspie resident Andrew, with a strong background in commercial banking and finance, adds valuable expertise in organizational strategy and development. Both David and Andrew are joined by Valerie, who lives in Ardgay and is originally from Invergordon.
Valerie brings an impressive set of management and leadership skills, having previously served as operations director for Whitbread PLC.
The directors of High Life Highland’s Trading Company are responsible for overseeing the organization’s trading activities.
The board comprises four directors from the main board and five independent directors with a wealth of commercial experience. Additionally, changes to the High Life Highland Boards include Michael Boylan, current chair of the Trading Board, now also serving on the Charity Board.
Michael Golding, Chair of High Life Highland, said: “We warmly welcome Alli, David, Valerie, and Andrew to High Life Highland. We look forward to working with them and appreciate their skills and experience.
“They will be a great asset to both the charity and trading boards, and as directors of one of the largest charities in the Highlands, we are responsible for leading the strategic direction of the organization to ensure we meet the charity’s purpose of making life better for the people of the Highlands.”
