Staff at Inverness branch of Specsavers tackle Loch Ness Beast Race to raise funds for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland
Staff from an Inverness opticians have raised more than £1000 for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland.
David Grant, the assistant manager at Specsavers, and optical assistant James Jack both completed the Loch Ness Beast Race.
The race included a brand new route and new obstacle locations for this year and David and James overcame obstacles including the ankle biter, squirrel scramble and the launch pad.
Not only did the determined duo make it through a chest-deep swamp crossing and take a dip in the icy Loch Ness as part of the fundraising activity, they did it all with bright pink hair.
Throughout July and August, customers who visited the Specsavers store in the High Street were asked to donate to the cause and vote for the colour they wanted them to dye their hair for the beast race.
Mr Grant said: "We’re very proud to have completed this tough obstacle course in aid of an amazing cause, and had great fun doing it.
"We’re especially thankful to our wonderful customers who helped us raise £1266 for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland."
He added that the money would help people with chest, heart and stroke conditions across Scotland and contribute to the charity’s work.
