Taste of Nairn continues with the world tattie scone championships taking place
Taste of Nairn is continuing into its second day and there is plenty to get your teeth stuck into, according to the organisers.
The food and drink festival runs over three days, incorporating two markets, demonstrations, tastings, and a number of individual events.
With the festival marking its fifth year, organisers at Nairn Connects BID have also announced a new partnership with the Golf View Hotel & Spa, now the main sponsor of the event.
Today includes a street market with live music in Nairn town centre until 4pm.
Organisers said: “The town centre will be sizzling with flavourful stalls, a feast of live music, mouthwatering market day specials, and local businesses serving up plenty to enjoy.”
Sky Delights on Leopold Street will launch its latest supplier at Taste of Nairn.
Meet the team from Love That Loaf as they provide tasters of their freshly baked range of sourdough breads.
At the Classroom Bistro, the team are firing up the BBQ from 11am to 4pm, accompanied by live music in Academical Square.
A gig with Adam Holmes will take place at Nairn Community & Arts Centre, for an evening of songs and stories, accompanied with some specialist beers from the Speyside Brewery.
Also taking place at Nairn Community & Arts Centre is the World Tattie Scone Championships.
Heat times are at 10am, 11am and 1.30pm. The winner will be announced at 3pm.
