The signs are good for empty shop in Inverness city centre as Savers Health and Beauty submits planning application to to Highland Council
An empty city centre shop unit could be getting a new tenant.
Savers Health and Beauty, which is based in Dunstable, has applied to Highland Council for planning permission for four advertising signs at the Eastgate premises.
The application proposes three new fascia signs, as well as one projecting sign and vinyl window signage, at the former Poundland store.
According to the planning application, all of the signs would be non-illuminated.
Currently the nearest branches to Inverness are at Alness and Forres and, if approved, it could mean a new branch for the Highland capital.
The fascia signs would be made from 3mm folded recycled material, with applied vinyl logos and a white background.
The planning application is currently under consideration by the council’s planning department.
Inverness BID highlighted the application on social media, telling readers that Savers Health and Beauty had more than 500 stores in the UK, and adding: “It will be great to have this long-empty unit back in use again.”
