Third ward re-opens at Raigmore Hospital

Another ward has re-opened at Raigmore Hospital following an outbreak of norovirus.
Ward 7C was closed to new admissions and visitors two weeks ago but following a a deep clean is now fully operational.
A total of 22 patients were affected on the ward during the outbreak of the virus which causes sickness, nausea and diarrhoea.
Wards 2C and 6C re-opened yesterday although ward 2A still remains closed to new admissions and visitors.
Norovirus spreads in the air where someone has had diarrhoea or vomited and is extremely infectious.
