Three-year driver ban for Forres man found with drugs on A9

Police on mobile patrol in Inverness decided to stop and search a Forres man's vehicle on an October afternoon and discovered a small quantity of cannabis.

Officers charged 56-year-old Paul Box, of Anderson Crescent, with possessing the drug which amounted to 0.82 grams.

He was also charged with driving while unfit through drink or drugs on the A9 near the Longman roundabout on October 5, 2022.

He admitted both offences, and at Inverness Sheriff Court was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid community work and banned from driving for three years.
