Sixteen couples have been training hard since January, as well as fundraising for the two benefiting charities, Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.

The week of shows kicks off with a family-friendly launch night on Wednesday, May 14, where dance schools will showcase their talents.

On Thursday, May 15, eight couples will compete, performing two individual dances as well as a ‘Team Thursday’ group dance in front of a panel of expert judges and a packed audience in Inverness Ice Centre.

The remaining eight couples will repeat this process on Friday, May 16, with the top four couples from each of these nights going through to the final on Saturday, May 11, which will be judged by BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden.

Tickets for each of the nights will be available from the Highland Hospice shop page here.

Highland Hospice fundraiser Carrie Macdonald said: “It’s not long now until our Strictly shows and the audiences are in for a huge treat on every night!

“Strictly Inverness is hailed by many as the best night out in Inverness – and this year will be no exception.

“We are delighted to have the gorgeous Amy Dowden judging Saturday night’s final; having been through her own cancer journey, she is keen to support Highland Hospice and find out more about our care and services.

“Don’t delay in booking your tickets – Thursday, Friday and Saturday night’s shows have limited availability!”
