Ticket sales for Inverness Bryan Adam’s Bare Bones Live tour date at Eden Court spark anger after website’s technical issue

Bryan Adams’ fans have been left “angry” and “frustrated” after being unable to bag tickets for his much-anticipated Inverness concert due to technical issues on the ticketing site.

Priority sales for the rock legend’s Bare Bones Live tour - whose Eden Court spring date was announced on Monday - opened at 9am this morning for Friends of Eden Court membership holders, saying that it would be limited to a maximum of eight tickets per person.

However an issue on the venue’s ticketing site left many hopefuls - many of whom had purchased the £27 annual membership specifically for this occasion - unable to proceed with the purchase due to the website crashing, with tickets soon selling out.

On Eden Court’s Facebook Page, many users reported being unable to purchase more than one seat per person, and called for this issue to be rectified ahead of the opening of general sales for the event on Friday.

One of the disappointed customers, Kirsty Sinclair, said the sale was “total shambles” and that this had left people “angry”.

She said: “Eden Court then posted two hours later that the site was having issues and it was now corrected to buy more than one ticket. However, by this time it’s sold out with people only buying one ticket or other friends or family sitting elsewhere.

“It’s been a total shambles, which makes you wonder if they can handle getting big artists at their venue - when someone like Bryan Adams sells out in stadiums.

“There should have been more dates and a website able to cope with high volumes. Loads of people were left reeling this morning to a mess of bookings.”

Another fan left “fuming” for the error was Kenny Thomson, who tried to buy tickets for him and his wife.

He said: “On the advert it stated that up to eight tickets per customer were allowed. That was fine as I only wanted tickets for me and the wife.

“But alas, when I logged in today to get the tickets…they changed the rules. Only one ticket per friend. That was of no use to me at all.”

He said he felt he was miss-sold by the management, having had to pay the membership fee in advance.

“Is this the welcome that Inverness shows to its visitors?”

An Eden Court representative replied to comments after 10am saying they were investigating the issue and that by then membership holders would be able to book up to the full amount of 8 tickets in a single transaction, whilst apologising for the inconvenience to customers.

Eden Court has been contacted for comment.
