Two teenagers charged after alleged assault in Inverness





TWO teenagers are expected to appear at court today after being charged in connection with an alleged serious assault in Inverness.

A 28-year-old man suffered facial injuries during the incident at around 6pm on Friday on a path between Thornbush Road and Rosehaugh Road.

He needed treatment at Raigmore Hospital.

An 18-year-old and a 17-year-old are due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court.

Detective Constable Nicola MacAngus said: "We have carried out extensive enquiries over the weekend and we are grateful to the local community for their assistance."
