UPDATE: 1142 SSEN customers without power in Drumnadrochit with dozens more affected around Loch Ness

Loch Ness-side communities are still coping with power cuts as SSEN battles to restore supplies.

The energy giant’s online power track map shows that an estimated 1142 customers are without electricity in the Drumnadrochit area, as well as south towards Invermoriston and west towards Cannich.

Dozens of homes are also hit by outages in the Fort Augustus and the south Loch Ness area surrounding Whitebridge and Foyers.

Continuing outages east of Inverness, near Culloden and Westhill, were resolved this morning.
