UPDATE: Missing Inverness pensioner found, say Police Scotland officers in the Highlands

A pensioner reported missing in Inverness on Monday afternoon has been found, police have confirmed.

Officers had launched an appeal for help tracing Richard Soper (70) after he disappeared in the Harbour Road area of Inverness at around 2.40pm.

However, in an update at around 6pm, police confirmed he had been successfully located.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are pleased to report that Richard Soper, missing from Inverness, has been traced. Thank you to everyone who shared our information.”
