UPDATE: Ness Bridge and Greig Street bridge in Inverness both closed

UPDATE: Inverness water rescue: Emergency services respond to city centre incident
The bridges are currently closed to all traffic and pedestrians.
An eye witness who contacted the Courier suggested it may be a person of concern incident as officers appeared to be talking to a man on the river side of the barrier.
A second witness has now told the Courier a member of the emergency services on the scene confirmed it is a person of concern incident and that the Greig Street suspension bridge has now also been closed, in addition to Ness Bridge.
Police, ambulance and fire service are all at the scene.
