UPDATE: Police confirm B861 between Culduthel and Inverarnie has reopened after wildfires forced closure

Police Scotland has confirmed that the B861 between Culduthel and Inverarnie has now been reopened after it was closed yesterday morning due to wildfires.

Six Scottish Fire & Rescue Service appliances were called to the area after gorse bushes had caught fire near the road at around 10.30am.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The B861 which was closed due to an earlier wildfire between Inverness and Farr has now fully re-opened.

“We thank the public for their patience while the road was closed.”
