The Inverness branch of a popular clothing retail chain has now reopened following issues with their till system.

A technical fault prompted the closure of Primark stores across the UK, including the Highland capital's store.

However a Primark spokesperson said the shop has now reopened doors to shoppers.

They said: "Earlier today we experienced technical issues with our till network which meant we had to temporarily close our Inverness store.

"The issue has been resolved and the store has now reopened. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused."
