Update: ‘Serious’ injuries sustained in crash on A82 near Loch Ness

Serious injuries have been sustained in a road traffic incident on the A82 involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian, according to initial reports.

The road remains closed in both directions at the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel at Balcraggan which is located between Inverness and Drumnadrochit.

Police officers remain at the scene and diversions have been put in place.

Traffic Scotland posted: “Motorists are advised to use an alternative route at this time and allow extra time at their journey.”

Diversions of 25 miles via the A833 and A862 have been put in place.
