UPDATE: Woman in her 60s taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness after car crashes into Lochardil Pharmacy building; emergency crews from Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Ambulance Service at scene
A woman has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a pharmacy building in Inverness.
The woman was taken to Raigmore following the collision at Lochardil Pharmacy and Travel Clinic at around 2.15pm.
Large numbers of emergency vehicles were scrambled to the pharmacy following the collision, with witnesses on the scene describing a black car embedded inside the building.
Cordons were also put in place along the edge of Lochardil Road and Morven Road.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 2.17pm today to attend an incident on Moven Road in Inverness.
“We dispatched a number of resources to the scene, our first arriving within five minutes, and transported one female patient in her 60s to Raigmore Hospital.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirmed that it sent two fire appliances to the scene at 2.16pm in response to reports of a road traffic collision.
Police have also been approached for comment.
