WATCH: £12 million transformation of historic Inverness mansion estate
THE £12 million transformation of a historic 132-year-old mansion estate in Inverness into dozens of homes is "already gaining a lot interest", its developer claims.
Tulloch Homes, which began construction work last summer, has launched 37 luxury homes and apartments within the Drummond Hill Estate. Located off Lochardil’s Stratherrick Road, the estate is the site of a Victorian mansion house designed by famous Inverness architect William Ross - the man dubbed ‘The Christopher Wren of the North.’
As part of the development, the existing mansion is being "sensitively" converted into six apartments with original features.

As well as the Grade B listed mansion conversion, the original gatehouse is also being converted into a family home named Cherry Tree House with private gardens on the edge of the estate.
The full development includes nine family homes, 12 two-bedroom luxury apartments, a further six mews houses with private gardens and garages, and three cottages.
Jo McLaren, sales and marketing director of Tulloch Homes, said: “We see Drummond Hill as a unique opportunity to live in a tranquil setting, surrounded by rich local history and near to the city.
“As well as providing contemporary, modern living spaces with family homes, mews, and cottages the renovated Victorian villa, with its traditional pink sandstone and classical detailing has been given a whole new lease of life and can be lived in once again.
“The population in Inverness continues to grow and the housing market remains extremely buoyant. We’re looking forward to seeing residents settle into their beautiful new homes at Drummond Hill very soon.”
In the first phase of homes released, prices range between £300,000 and £415,000 with floor space from 721sq ft to 1690sq ft. To find out more information on Drummond Hill or to book an appointment, visit www.drummondhill.co.uk.
