WATCH: Film produced by Inverness students puts mental health issues in the spotlight
An evocative film highlighting the daily struggles faced by young people has been released by a group of Inverness students in bid to raise awareness of mental health issues and the support available.
The students teamed up with suicide awareness charity Mikeysline to make the 20-minute film as part of their drama course at Inverness College UHI.
Autumn Collapse can be viewed via the charity's website and will also be shown at Eden Court on Sunday May 26 as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival.
The students are Laura Walker (20), Rachel Venturini (22), Pauline Tomaszewicz (20) and Tegan Wright (21) who spoke to Hollywood actress Karen Gillan about the project when she visited the charity's Hive drop-in centre in Academy Street in November.
All are third year BA (Hons) drama and performance students and wrote, directed, produced and starred in the production which tells the story of two people’s struggle with mental health and the different paths they choose in dealing with their difficulties.
