WATCH: Firefighters making ‘good progress’ as fight against wildfire blaze off B861 between Culduthel and Inverarnie continues

Scottish Fire & Rescue Services (SFRS) say firefighters are making “good progress” as they continue to battle a wildfire blaze off the B861 between Culduthel and Inverarnie which started earlier today.

A SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 10.41am on Friday, March 21, to reports of a wildfire off the B861 in between Inverness and Farr.

“Operations Control mobilised six fire appliances and special resources to the scene.

“Firefighters have made good progress and are bringing the wildfire under control.

“There is no immediate threat to life or nearby property.”
