The nomination said: “This school has amazing facilities to suit the very diverse needs of the children from the area. They offer unmeasurable amounts of support catered directly to the individual child. The staff are approachable, genuine and non-judgemental.”

Upon winning the award, headteacher Vikki Forrester said: “What motivates us is to support the pupils - they’re all so unique. They come to school with their own challenges, and it just makes us want to work harder to make it the best school possible for them.

“The pupils make it so special. They’re so unique, funny and hard-working - we just try to match that as the staff. They absolutely deserve this award. I’m delighted.”
