Inverness pharmacy car crash investigations continue as Police Scotland say woman in her 60s was taken to Raigmore Hospital “as a precaution”

A woman removed by ambulance after a car crashed into an Inverness pharmacy today was taken to hospital “as a precaution”, police say.

The statement suggests the woman, who is in her 60s, did not receive life-threatening or serious injuries in the collision at Lochardil Pharmacy and Travel Centre at around 2.15pm.

Police Scotland say they are continuing their enquiries.

Large numbers of emergency vehicles were at the scene following the collision, with witnesses describing a black car embedded inside the building.

Cordons were also put in place along the edge of Lochardil Road and Morven Road.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Around 2.20pm on Wednesday, 22 January, 2025, we were called to a report of a car crashing into a building on Morven Road, Inverness.

"Emergency services attended and the female driver was taken to hospital as a precaution.

"There are no other reported injuries.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
