WATCH: Preview of what Nairn splash pad will look like in full flow
Team Hamish has described a new Nairn splash pad as absolutely amazing.
The organisation, established in memory of eight-year-old Hamish Hey who died on 2017, has been fundraising for years to contribute towards the splash pad as a legacy to the youngster.
Sadly his mum Susan, who worked tirelessly towards seeing the ambition become reality, died in four months ago.
Hamish's dad Sam, from Team Hamish, said: “We are so excited to see our ideas for Team Hamish come to fruition.
"This wonderful achievement was only made possible through the incredible support and generosity by the community of Nairn, and beyond, over the last three years.
"The creation of this amazing splash pad is a wonderful and lasting legacy in both Hamish and Susan’s memory and a place that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities for many years to come.”
An official opening date is still to be announced.
The splash pad replaces a paddling pool on Nairn Links.
