Water issues causes Culloden Academy closure

Water supply issues at an Inverness high school have caused it to close this morning.

Culloden Academy announced on social media that it will be closing today, due to no running water.

The school said: “As the school has no running water this morning and we've not been able to get it back on, the school is closing for all pupils after morning break. Pupil emergency contacts have been informed via text.”

Stagecoach is providing three different buses for around 11.30am to take pupils home. The buses are:

• Gollanfield — as normal

• Tornagrain — also serving all Croy and Sunnyside pupils

• Ardersier — The No. 3 Service bus will be diverted into school

D&E will also operate the Nairnside bus at 11.30am

The school went on to advise that there is no bus service for Westhill and Cradlehall pupils as these pupils “do not qualify for school transport and Stagecoach are unable to supply a bus for this service”.
