With the Easter holidays just around the corner, TIM is calling upon fans of the hit BBC comedy series Gavin and Stacey to put their knowledge to the test by taking part in a quiz night themed around the show.

The charity hopes to raise enough funds on the night to cover the cost of neurodivergent-friendly activities planned for the upcoming school holidays.

Planned for a 7pm start on the night, TIM’s Gavin and Stacey quiz (hosted by Craig Dunain Quizzes) promises a cash prize for the winning team, a prize for the best dressed guest and some “tidy” raffle prizes.

The fundraiser follows a successful Still Game-themed quiz held at the same venue last year, which raised over £1600 for future events.

In 2024 alone, a total of 322 families benefited from the events held by the charity, with just under 4000 event spaces filled by children and young people.

The group’s growing membership now sits at over 400 families, spanning the length and breadth of the Highlands.

Charity secretary Lucy Veals said: “Our fundraising efforts continue all year round, and to kick off the month of March we are holding a Gavin and Stacey-themed quiz to hopefully fund some fun activities our families during the upcoming Easter break.

“We have a lot planned, from an Easter egg hunt and feeding lambs, to a trampoline visit and a trip to the cinema. We’d also like to fund some activities in the woods, which are always a popular choice with the kids.

“Our last quiz night had a Still Game theme, and it was really popular, raising over £1600.

“This year we decided that we would appeal to the Gavin and Stacey fans out there. The Christmas special was amazing, and we know that we aren’t alone in being big fans of the show.

“So, we invite everyone to come along and join us.

“Just don't ask us if there's a question about the fishing trip, we cant talk about that…”

Tickets, priced at £10 per person, are now on sale via Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/gavin-and-stacey-charity-quiz-night-tickets-1205897896069.
