Woman, 29, arrested and charged after Clachnaharry late-night police incident closes road near Inverness
A 29 year-old woman has been arrested and charged after a late-night incident that forced the closure of a road on the outskirts of Inverness.
Just before midnight last night (Thursday), police received a report of concern for a person in the Mid Street area of Clachnaharry near the Inverness to Wick railway line.
It is understood traffic, including the Stagecoach bus service from Kirkhill to Inverness, was caught in a temporary road block at the junction of the A862 Inverness-Beauly road and Mid Street.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.50pm on Thursday, 24 April, 2025, we were called to a report of concern for a person in the Clachnaharry Mid Street area of Inverness.
“A 29-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
