Woman dies in accident on A96 Inverness-Forres road near to Brodie

A WOMAN died following a two-vehicle accident on the A96 Inverness-Forres road near to Brodie at 6am today.

A man, who was also involved in the collision, was transported to hospital by helicopter having sustained what police describe is a "significant injury".

Police are investigating the accident between a silver pick-up truck and a small grey car.

Roads policing Sergeant Scott Deans said: “Our enquiries into the incident are ongoing and I would continue to urge anyone who witnessed what happened but has not yet spoken to the police to please get in touch by calling 101 or speak to a police officer, quoting reference number 1012 of the 28th April."
