A concerned member of the public called police when two people were spotted slumped in a vehicle parked in an Inverness retail park.

When officers arrived at Eastfield Way at 1.30am on April 9, they saw 42-year-old Lisa McDonald in the driving seat with a man sitting beside her.

Fiscal depute David Morton told Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald: "They had their heads down in the vehicle and items of drug paraphernalia were apparent in her lap.

"She was drowsy and incoherent."

McDonald, of Royal Walk, Nairn admitted being in charge of the vehicle while unfit through drugs.

She was fined £350 and banned from driving for eight months.
