Inverness event brings fun to learning Gaelic

A chance to learn more about Gaelic in a fun, family-friendly way is coming to Merkinch in Inverness this Saturday.

Gaelic Galore will give both beginners and fluent speakers the chance to immerse themselves in the language with a programme of activities at The Treehouse venue by the Caledonian Canal.

From 10.30am to 1.30pm, activities on offer include a Gaelic in Nature Walk with the chance to learn basic Gaelic phrases and discover Gaelic words in nature and live music and song including the chance to singalong as well as more fun and games.

Lindsay Dunbar, chair of the volunteer committee for event organisers Fèis a' Bhaile said: "This event is a wonderful opportunity to learn a little bit about the Gaelic language and culture in a community setting. Everyone is welcome to come along, participate and discover something new."

There is no charge to attend but booking is recommended with more information on the Fèis a' Bhaile Facebook page.
