ACTIONS to prevent another outbreak of the superbug C difficile at Raigmore Hospital are set to be complete by the end of August, it has emerged in an NHS Highland report.

Sixteen recommendations were made following an outbreak in January this year.

Further incidents involving the superbug have occurred at the Inverness facility since.

A report, due to be discussed by NHS Highland’s board next week, states poor cleaning, inadequate staffing and unfit toilets contributed to the problems.
