Inverness world record cyclist Jenny Graham wins 'outstanding achievement' UHI award
UHI have given Inverness Guinness World Record cyclist Jenny Graham an Honorary Blue award, in recognition of her 'exceptionally high standard of performance' in her sport.
The University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) and Highlands and Islands' Student Association (HISA) 2023 Sporting Blues awards highlight the outstanding sporting achievements of UHI students who attain an exceptionally high standard of performance in their sport.

UHI Inverness alumni Jenny Graham was awarded with an Honorary Blue, which is given to athletes who have won medals at world championships, world cups, Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games or equivalent relevant to their sport. The award may also be made to a person connected with UHI with an outstanding contribution to Scottish, British, university, or world sport.
In 2018, Jenny became the fastest woman to cycle around the world unsupported, completing the 18,000 mile journey in a record 124 days, securing herself a Guinness World Record. Jenny who made the marathon cycle aged 39, cycled across 16 countries, including, Germany, Australia, USA, Russia, Mongolia and China.
