Thanks for care at Raigmore Hospital

I write again to express my gratitude and thanks to all the staff members of the Ambulatory Emergency Centre at Raigmore for their compassionate, and professional attendance to me on my recent stay in their care.

In particular Dr Rachel, S/Ns Jacqueline, Collette and consultants Mark (A&E) and Rod Harvey. How lucky are we to have such dedicated employees in NHS Highlands.

My wife and I are very grateful for the support and care that we received. Please keep up the good work.

Impressed by event for Inverness Courier subscribers

I felt that I needed to write to thank you so much for a thoroughly enjoyable evening with the Hebridean Baker at Bogbain Farm.

We all had an amazing time. I hadn't met Coinneach before and what a nice, genuine person he is! It was really interesting to hear of his adventures in his younger days.

Whilst being a subscriber in itself gives me access to the multitude of northern and north east local newspapers, for you to go to the effort and expense in laying on such a wonderful evening for us is very commendable and you can be sure that I'll continue to subscribe.

Thank you for arranging the evening and inviting me along.

Riverside Way outlay is ‘meagre value for money’

Courier columnist Colin Campbell questioned whether the months of work to make the approach to Bught Park in Inverness more pedestrian and cyclist friendly was worth it.

“Your article quietly expresses the thoughts of so many, myself included. The money this council has wasted on ruining the natural artwork, the 'Ness riverside, by adding that concrete monstrosity is shameful. Everyone knows it didn't cost well over a quarter of a million pounds but greed needs fed. As it's being fed again by the latest vanity ‘projects'. The saddest thing is that not one single councillor can deny themselves that greed and build a fully functioning hospital with enough beds for everyone in the Highlands and Islands…Highland and Islanders, you deserve so much better that what you're all being given. Absolutely nothing!” - Jan McGuigan, Inverness
