Aberdeen European Cup Winners Cup winner is heading to Inverness as part of book tour
ABERDEEN European Cup Winners Cup winner John McMaster is heading to Inverness as part of his new book tour next month.
McMaster and Commander - The business of winning, tells the story of the former Dons midfielder's career, and how spending a season on loan at Peterhead in the Highland League sent him on his way to a successful football career.
As part of his book tour, McMaster is visiting a number of locations in the north where he played during his year with Peterhead in the Highland League.
He is due to give a talk at the Beaufort Hotel in Inverness on Friday, May 26.
McMaster says he is looking forward to revisiting Inverness and meeting with Dons fans and speak about how his year in the Highland League made him the player he became.
"I was moved to Peterhead when I was a teenager and played there for a season on loan as I wasn't getting a game for Aberdeen," he said.

"Jimmy Bonthrone was the manager at Aberdeen at the time and he moved me to play with Peterhead to get match experience.
"It turns out that was the best thing that happened to me.
"I didn't know where Peterhead was until I played there, but it set me up for 14 brilliant years with Aberdeen.
"I am looking forward to meeting the fans and sharing my stories as well as showing some memorabilia and medals during my playing career."
