Caley Thistle director says there is welcome interest to attracting investment to club
INVERNESS Caledonian Thistle says there has been ‘welcome interest’ in its attempts to attract new financial backing into the club.
Director Panos Thomas says the club are working with interested parties into putting investment into the League One outfit.
The announcement comes as Inverness are set to play their first competitive match of the campaign at Annan Athletic in the Premier Sports Cup tomorrow afternoon.
After the club were relegated to League One after losing the Championship play-off final to Hamilton Academical, the club says it was looking to attract new investment and owners.

Thomas says they are in discussions with interested parties as talks continue to find new investors to the club.
He said: “Directors are working tirelessly to attract new investment in the club.
“Indeed, there has been welcome interest and I would ask everyone for their patience as we progress matters.”
Inverness Caledonian Thistle go into this season with a young looking squad, with a number of players from the club’s academy set to be given first team opportunities.
Manager Duncan Ferguson has previously stated there is no scope to bring in new players from elsewhere due to the club’s financial situation.
Thomas says directors at the club are pleased to see young players being given a chance this season.
He said: “We are delighted to see youth being given a chance with several Academy players featuring in the squad and we are confident the team is ready to face the first challenge with focus and commitment.
“Invaluable will be the support of our loyal fans, including those who will be travelling to Annan tomorrow, and everyone else in the extended family of the club throughout the season. We need you to stay with us as we strive to improve the financial stability of the club.”
