Caley Thistle manager making no predictions about League One campaign
MANAGER Duncan Ferguson says he is making no predictions for this season on Inverness Caledonian Thistle challenging for promotion.
He says that he will not put any pressure on his young looking squad this season as they prepare for their League One campaign after being relegated from the Championship.
Ferguson has already confirmed that the squad currently at his disposal is the one he will likely be using for the new campaign, with any further new additions highly unlikely.
He said due to the financial situation at the club, where it was reported this week they made a loss of £588,000 for the year ending May 30, 2023, there is little scope to bring in new players.
Ferguson says he is not setting any targets for this season, as he is asking for his young squad to do their best and see where it takes them.

He said: “I don’t want to put pressure on any team.
“We will see where we are and there is no point in making any predictions. I would like the fans to show a bit of patience with what we are doing.
“These young lads need support, but I will not put any pressure on them. I am asking them to play their football and hopefully that will get results.”
Former Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder Roddy MacGregor signed for Championship outfit Queen’s Park this week, with them also reportedly showing interest defender Nikola Ujdur who is in negotiations to leave the club.
Inverness Caleonian Thistle are set to continue their pre-season campaign with a friendly against Raith Rovers at Stark’s Park tomorrow.
They also travel to Brora Rangers on Tuesday night.
It was revealed this week that Inverness Caledonian Thistle made a loss of £588,053 in the finanical year for May, 30, 2023.
Director Panos Thomas says the club are working hard to try and attract new investment.
