Inverness Caledonian Thistle player who is on loan for the season heads back to Kilmarnock and scores to send them into Scottish Youth Cup final after beating Livingston.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle loan player Ben Brannan scored to fire Kilmarnock into the Scottish Youth Cup Final as they defeated Livingston 6-0.
Brannan, who joined Caley Thistle on loan in February from Kilmarnock, scored in the victory on Friday night at Rugby Park.
They will now face either St Mirren or Dundee at Hampden Park in the final later this season.
The 18-year-old became Caley Thistle’s third loan signing in 2025 and can play at full-back and in central midfield.
It is unlikely he will be available for today’s game against Montrose due to being in action last night.
However, Kellacher says he is delighted to have his services for the rest of the season believing he can make a difference.
Speaking on Thursday, Kellacher said: “I spoke to Paul Sheerin who I was dealing with the most at Kilmarnock. Manager Derek McInnes is excellent allowing him to come up here. He has been a breath of fresh air. He wants to learn and get better. It adds to the competition, it can only be healthy.”
Brannan is one of a number of players who are Inverness on loan along with Alfie Bavidge and Alfie Stewart from Aberdeen along with Connall Ewan from Ross County.
While Caley Thistle remain in the lower divisions, Kellacher says he is keen to strengthen relationships with teams in the top divisions and offer them the chance to develop their players in Inverness.
He said: ”We want to build relationships with the likes of Ross County, Kilmarnock and Aberdeen.
“We want to make sure they come here and are well looked after. If we can strike up good relationships that is important.
“They are playing alongside boys the same age as them. We want them to kick on here. We have reached the full loan quota now and I am delighted with what we have in the dressing room. They are a good bunch of boys.”
