The 23-year-old was forced off towards the end of Caley Thistle’s 3-0 win over Annan Athletic last weekend, and missed the return to Dumfries on Tuesday evening as ICT lost out 3-2 to Queen of the South.

Having kicked up a level over recent performances, though, he is a big miss to the current Caley Jags side.

Longstaff is the second most prolific creator Inverness have had in League One so far this season, but supporters may have to wait a little while longer before seeing the former Newcastle United and Liverpool youth return to action.

"Luis got a bad dead leg last week,” Kellacher revealed.

“He'll be 50-50. He was a big loss for us on Tuesday, because he's a big player for us.

"He's been doing wee light bits with the physios to give himself every chance, but I'd say he's 50-50.

"It's just bruising, and the physios are doing what they can to try and break that up.”
