Clachnacuddin confirm new contract for former Ross County youth Fergus Adams as versatile midfielder extends stay with Inverness Highland League club
Clachnacuddin have confirmed that midfielder Fergus Adams has signed a new contract to stay at the club.
The 20-year-old has already become a regular in the Lilywhites side since joining from Ross County’s youth academy two years ago, regularly showing his versatility across the pitch this season.
That has made him a valuable asset to manager Conor Gethins, who has moved quickly after the end of the Highland League season to tie Adams down.
Adams told Clach’s website: "I am delighted to be with the Lillies for another year, to be part of a really encouraging season just passed meant a lot to me and see no reason why we can’t kick on again.
“The club has its place in my heart now, from fans to the management team, staff behind the scenes, and my teammates it’s a privilege to play for and with them on a matchday."
Manager Conor Gethins added: "Fergus has had a stop start season, he started the season very well, fell away for a while with other performances improving but I have to give him credit, he stepped into left back for the last seven games and I thought he has done excellent.
“People forget how young Fergus is, and he has played about 50 games now in the Highland League. We look forward to watching him grow and develop again next year."
